Florence I.T. was formed in early 2005, built on over a decade of wide-ranging hands-on professional I.T.
support experience, supplying solutions regionally and nationally, from Fortune 100 companies to the corner store.

Our primary expertise is supporting the local small to medium business market and non-profits. We strive to offer you responsive, qualified, professional & friendly service. If your issues fall outside of our areas of expertise, we can and gladly will refer you to other area experts we affiliate with. We have direct I.T. and computer network support experience in a wide variety of markets from government, health care, educational markets and auto sales to name a few.

   Our goal is to establish mutually beneficial and enjoyable long term partnerships, continually proving that a moderate investment in proactive support and strategic I.T. planning saves expense, time and frustration; enabling a better experience for your clients. 

We also put out "fires" , offering priority computer help and network support services (50% above normal rates), sales and IT infrastructure support, such that would be needed starting from scratch in a new building. We are based in Florence, MA offering timely support to Western MA, focusing on an immediate geographic circle to provide timely and outstanding support. Florence I.T. believes in giving back to the community that supports us is through regular donations to local nonprofit organizations. In 2009, Florence I.T. gave back 16% of our after tax profit to local nonprofits in the form of donated funds, hardware and services. Our focus (or preference) is for existing nonprofit clients, LOCAL organizations, and environmental and social justice causes. The large percentage of nonprofit support and funds we donate is largely due to the support of our for-profit business clients, thank you!

We also operate under a principal of sustainability. One way we do that is by conserving energy use, and by operating this website's server on solar power since 2004, operating 24/7/365 even through the long dark New England winters. It's our hope to showcase the feasibility of conservation and renewable energy, in relation to our expertise. In the summertime this system also runs our entire office. In addition, approximately 90% (currently) of our home office electricity is generated from a grid connected solar electric system. We recycle and reuse everything as much as possible, from consumables to the computers we use. We use LED lighting and efficient bioheating. Whenever possible older computers are reused at area nonprofits, otherwise they are properly and ecologically recycled through our relationships with regional recycling organizations. As with our nonprofit support, many of the renewable energy options we utilize cost money to imple ment.
