Hi there $contact_first_name! header

Congratulations to Cancer Connection

for winning our $500 surprise giveaway. I didn’t even know I was going to do it ;) They won by reading our newsletter, as sometimes I get the inspiration to throw in a little donation offer here and there.  ;)

I have SO much info to share with you this month.. I cannot believe thanksgiving is next week, I have been out straight with interesting and exciting projects in and out of work, so the time has flown.  Rather than overwhelm you with a dense email that many of you won’t read all of I will try to lessen the amount of info and maybe send out a few more emails. As many of you know its been well over a month sincve I’ve posted anything.  I really do not want to inundate you with info. So this time I’ll keep to to under 5 items of interest. You can always unsubscribe by clicking the provided links or letting me know if you get too many emails from us.

Apple’s Magic Mouse

mmFirst off I have to describe what its like to use a macbook pro’s  new mouspad with gestures. Phenominal. This is the biggest leap in computer interfaces in years. The good news if you have a bluetooth enabled mac is that they’ve taken the same technology and made it into a mouse called the magic mouse. You just have to try it. For more info : here’s a washington times article. We do not sell them but zI should be able to get them soon. They do come standard on the new iMac’s and the same interface is on the macbook pro’s. Yes Computer’s helped me out great when I was looking for a Macbook recently. We will unlikely become apple authorized anytime soon as the sales requirements are really (ummm… REALLY) high for Apple Resellers, though our regular distribution channels do allow us to purchase MAC accessories.

I’ve also done some experimenting for you on two file sharing web services that are super easy to use.

Drop.io is a great service that’s free up to 100mb. You create a free “drop” where you can privately or publicly share files and collaborate. it’s very easy, has browser plugins that make uploading files as easy as dragging them to  link. Drop.io has a variety of other ways you can publish your files too, such as via mobile phone and email. stay up to date with emails, tweets or text messages. Really is an impressive service.

The other free online storage service I’ve been experimenting with is Dropbox.  Dropbox is great and utterly simple: Dropbox will create a special folder on your pc. Anything you put in your dropbox folder gets synced to all of your other computers (once you’ve installed dropbox on them), automatically. This of course has huge appeal as they have software clients for your Mac , PC and Linux. Installing dropbox on all of your computers ensures that the same files are always on all of your devices.
